Just Plastics UK - Measuring Guide
Print this guide to help you when measuring your room
Choose panels 167mm and 250mm
Panels 2.6M x 167mm
A simple method of finding the number of panels required is to measure the linear length of the wall(s) see green arrow.
For example for every linear metre you will need 6 panels
Panels 2.6M x 250mm
A simple method of finding the number of panels required is to measure the linear length of the wall(s) see green arrow.
For example for every linear metre you will need 4 panels
Profiles
Metalic strips, gold or silver (2.6M)
Decide if you will be using gold or silver strips between your panels (not recommended in shower cubicles). These are entirely optional decorative extra, which looks especially good on ceilings.
To calculate the number of trips you will require for each individual wall or ceiling find the number of panels (see above) and deduct one
Example wall one 6 panels = 5 strips
Ceiling, 12 panels = 11 strips
Two Part Edge Trim (2.6M)
Next work out how many edge trims you will need. Edge trims are used to finish any open edges (where panel meets the floor, door frames, against window frames, on edge of panel if only panelling part wall)
Simply measure the linear length of the edges to be covered (blue arrow for example) and divide the figure (in metre's) by 2.6
Ceiling Finishing Trims
Trims Available Small Coving 3M
Two part edge trim 2.6M
Two part corner trim 2.6M
Any of the above trims can be used where the ceiling meets the walls. Decide which trim you prefer, then simply measure the perimeter of your ceiling (in metre's) and divide by the length of the trim you have chosen
Two part Corner Trim (2.6M)
Corner trims are not always needed – see fixing guide for how to bend panels round corners. If you do wish to use corner trim simply measure the lengths of all the corners (internal and external don’t forget window or door reveals) in the room
(in metre's) and divide by 2.6.
